  1. Nice Shane , good looking girl there. I have managed to find a bunch of 4+ this year, a handful of 5 , and a new PB 6-1 in the Nashua river along with a 4-1 smallie also in the Nashua river. Those big girls are certainly smart. Hopefull we still have a couple months before the water gets too hard in many places.
  2. Ps- Nev, what'd you keep those picks, or what? Unfortulatly neither of those Pickerel made it. The big one had a spook so deep you couldnt see it. The small one had a Space Monkey way down. I would love to have caught the big one again during the late spring. We tried
  3. Nice !!! Honey Pot bass
  4. No Bass today for me , Just these small pickerel. 3.1 lbs and a big one
  5. not sure yet where the canoe or jon boat are going this weekend, next 3 sundays after that its Pawtuckaway ,Bow , and then ?
  6. UNH, Thanks , i didnt have a lot of time so i only went right and fished the shore going towards the dam and then trolled back. I didnt even get to see anything left of the place we put the canoe in. What areas have you fished?
  7. anyone fish pine island pond in Manchester? dragged the canoe there sunday for an hour or so. Found some of these and lost a much bigger one but not close enough to guess how big other than much bigger.
  8. not me, my thinking is thats too big for NH where the record bass is only 10 -7, but i do throw the 4 1/2 inch very often. I dont throw much in the way of spinner baits, maybe i should
  9. Big smallies don't always school.... i second this, my biggest smallies have always been alone. i also agree withfinding more spots, river fishing can be tough, lots of water lots of space lots of room...keep looking. people talk aout how there are no fish in the Merrimack river and Nashua river, several guys disagree including me. They are there keep looking
  10. white belly spook anytime day or night and black brokentail jitterbug when its dark anytime of year the water isnt hard, i would agree though under 50 for a water temp and the bite is slow, therefore the retrieve is the slowest ever.
  11. I love throwing the big 4 1/2 inch black jitterbug in the complete darkness and quiet... the hit is priceless. The noise the jitterbug itself makes especially in the quite quiet times when its all you can hear... sometimes they want a smaller one and i will throw those if i get nothing on the bigger one.....mix it up fast retreive , slow retrieve and start stop till i find what they want.
  12. who is going where in the next few days?
  13. Tinker road bridge Largemouth 4 1/2 inch white brokentail jitterbug 9 pm Had 10 minutes to stop on my way home. 5 casts , 3 hits ,. 1 fish Nashua River Smallmouths 5am - 8am zara spooks
  14. canoe for me, but i have both. i have pulled my canoe 3/4 of a mile thru the woods i keep the wheels on if it is not too weedy. and pop them off it is weedy. i can stretch and stand up in the canoe or have room for another person. my kayak is only about 35 lbs so i can throw it on my shoulder but i find my shoulders hurt after an hour or so of fishing from having to hold them up higher. i also feel i see the waters surface better from the canoe as i and the canoe sit so much higher up above the water. this is my canoe when i fish alone. temp and depth finder, anchor ,paddles , padded seat troller and battery , lots of room for stuff including 5 rods (i buy a new cheap one every year when they go on clearance) spinner , crank , rage craw, zara spook or black jitterbug , top water weedless white mouse are usually what i have on . , also the net for big pickerel or pike, i dont use the net for bass
  15. ditto with the screw on terminals...
  16. Thanks, glad you guys get the fresh water, sounds good too. Get away vacation with the wife. no motocross, no hockey , no fishing, no kids..., good food , ice cold beer, lots of relaxing , and lots of alone time with the wife. Not complaining, normally i get to fish 3 or 4 times a week and hockey 3 or 4 times as well as motocross time.
  17. Black jitterbugs and pumpkin worms
  18. just back from a week at the cape. The canoe awaits me. as long as the water is not solid i can still fish, just dressing warmer. atleast 2 weeks before they start to lower the lakes. Pawtuckaway i think oct 8th ... cant wait to get out there after that... Saturday and Sunday for sure not sure where yet...
  19. Behind Stellos stadium in Nashua did not freeze last year at athe dam. Also the water behind Margarittas in Nashua didnt freeze but it is tough to get to and fish.
  20. I am visiting out here with the wife and just curious, Is there any large or small mouth bass fishing? We are staying on the beach in North Truro Ma. Just curious if you guys get to fish or them here? or how far do you have to go to fish for them. Obviously i know there is tons of ocean fishing. I am not fishing while i am here.
