  1. talk to the old guys, The old guys have the secrets , but many times you will find they are not secrets... They want to talk , but we are too busy not listening and the wise old men dont waste if we are not listening. Befriend them and when i say befriend them i dont just mean 1 time and and ask questions. truly get to know some some of the old folk. People dont talk enough these days.

  3. nice job guys, Myself and 2 buddies used my canoe and jonboat today and dragged them too Silver Lake in Hollis for 3 hours this morning. water temp was 53 -57. We caught over 40 fish between us. 2 biggest bass were about 2 1/4 lbs. most were between 1 and 1 1/2. only 2 pickerel. water is super clear and even at 10 feet you can see the bottom. other than weeds on the bottom ,muck and an occasional rock there wasnt much of anything else to be seen except for lots and lots and lots of small fish. We found no structure , stumps , rock piles or anything else for fish to hide, deepest water we found was about 24 feet in the middle, the very basic depth and temp electronics showed nothing except it looking like a bowl. weeds should be coming green and growing soon and lots of docks. we caught fish everywhere in this place. 100% of the shore line , at all or most all of the docks and even in the middle. We threw crankbaits , spooks ,poprs , spinners and lots of rage craws.
  4. Sandy Pond today.... zero fish in 2 hours... just this
  5. I fish it a bunch, but i fish mainly around the bridge and where to nashua and merr river come together and up to the boat launch behind greeley park. All smallmouth and pickerel. I have not fished much past the bridge in the downtown east hollis st area. I should add that most of this info on different things is stuff i have learned thru other people., much of it here on this site. And just plain experimenting the last 2 years. I have lots and lots to learn.
  6. from the ramp left to and around the big island at stellos and all the shore area. One thing i like to do with the canoe and jon boat is stay against the shore and cast sideways along the shore. instead of being 30 feet away from shore and casting to land. Take the rage tail craw and drag it , bounce it off the bottom , or even creep it real slow down the entire length of the cast. Literally 1 ft from the shore, then 3 feet from the shore then 5 feet. When i first starting trying this i was surprised at how many hits i was getting less than 2 feet from the shore line. in 7 - 9 inches of water. The Rage craw is awesome , you can fish it so many different ways. I use the rage chunk or cut 1/2 the body off a craw and use it as a trailer on my spinner baits. to help hide the trailer hook. After i put the trailer hook on i main hook i then put the craw or chunk on the main hook. The action of the craw claws gives more show/flash and i assume noise. and i dont always match the color. You can also crank the craw weightless or with a weighted hook , just like a regular crank bait. hook it weedless and drag it right down the shore.
  7. The green stuff is just starting to pop and be able to be seen down here in Nashua area... . ,1 more week and the green stuff will really be making some oxygen. Nashua river water is finally about 50 degrees. couple good days of bright sun.
  8. Just giving what seems to be working, Started with the rage craw in pearl white then went to a dark space monkey. After 15/20 minutes of nothing i threw the white spinner that was working the other night, when it seemed to stop i threw the black one and hit a few more. If i was in the boat i would have stuck with the craw and space monkey for a longer time, but i would have been fishing a bigger area. The spinner may not work again this year , one never knows till they try. The Keel weighted Craw is already tied back on for a visit to the Stellos dam tonight.
  9. Fun night at the retention pond again tonight. 9 fish in all, the biggest at 5lb 4oz my biggest so far this year. pictures are not that great, tough in the dark , although the full moon helped Black spinner bait after the white spinner bait stopped working. I was working both of them pretty fast. <a href="http://s1040.photobucket.com/user/ktm313/media/IMAG0108_zpsa7ab7709.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1040.photobucket.com/albums/b407/ktm313/th_IMAG0108_zpsa7ab7709.jpg" border="0" alt="phone uploads photo IMAG0108_zpsa7ab7709.jpg"></a> <a href="http://s1040.photobucket.com/user/ktm313/media/IMAG0109_zps5cc01e71.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1040.photobucket.com/albums/b407/ktm313/th_IMAG0109_zps5cc01e71.jpg" border="0" alt="phone uploads photo IMAG0109_zps5cc01e71.jpg"></a> <a href="http://s1040.photobucket.com/user/ktm313/media/IMAG0110_zpse96e8116.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1040.photobucket.com/albums/b407/ktm313/th_IMAG0110_zpse96e8116.jpg" border="0" alt="phone uploads photo IMAG0110_zpse96e8116.jpg"></a> <a href="http://s1040.photobucket.com/user/ktm313/media/IMAG0111_zps722d936d.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1040.photobucket.com/albums/b407/ktm313/th_IMAG0111_zps722d936d.jpg" border="0" alt="phone uploads photo IMAG0111_zps722d936d.jpg"></a> <a href="http://s1040.photobucket.com/user/ktm313/media/IMAG0112_zps77dbda83.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1040.photobucket.com/albums/b407/ktm313/th_IMAG0112_zps77dbda83.jpg" border="0" alt="phone uploads photo IMAG0112_zps77dbda83.jpg"></a> <a href="http://s1040.photobucket.com/user/ktm313/media/IMAG0113_zpsa5434415.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1040.photobucket.com/albums/b407/ktm313/th_IMAG0113_zpsa5434415.jpg" border="0" alt="phone uploads photo IMAG0113_zpsa5434415.jpg"></a> <a href="http://s1040.photobucket.com/user/ktm313/media/IMAG0114_zps95e9bb7b.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1040.photobucket.com/albums/b407/ktm313/th_IMAG0114_zps95e9bb7b.jpg" border="0" alt="phone uploads photo IMAG0114_zps95e9bb7b.jpg"></a> <a href="http://s1040.photobucket.com/user/ktm313/media/IMAG0115_zps489b814e.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1040.photobucket.com/albums/b407/ktm313/th_IMAG0115_zps489b814e.jpg" border="0" alt="phone uploads photo IMAG0115_zps489b814e.jpg"></a> <a href="http://s1040.photobucket.com/user/ktm313/media/IMAG0116_zps431f9b2a.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1040.photobucket.com/albums/b407/ktm313/th_IMAG0116_zps431f9b2a.jpg" border="0" alt="phone uploads photo IMAG0116_zps431f9b2a.jpg"></a> <a href="http://s1040.photobucket.com/user/ktm313/media/IMAG0116_zps431f9b2a.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1040.photobucket.com/albums/b407/ktm313/th_IMAG0116_zps431f9b2a.jpg" border="0" alt="phone uploads photo IMAG0116_zps431f9b2a.jpg"></a> <a href="http://s1040.photobucket.com/user/ktm313/media/IMAG0118_zpsc5a947e0.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1040.photobucket.com/albums/b407/ktm313/th_IMAG0118_zpsc5a947e0.jpg" border="0" alt="phone uploads photo IMAG0118_zpsc5a947e0.jpg"></a> <a href="http://s1040.photobucket.com/user/ktm313/media/IMAG0119_zps18cadc3c.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1040.photobucket.com/albums/b407/ktm313/th_IMAG0119_zps18cadc3c.jpg" border="0" alt="phone uploads photo IMAG0119_zps18cadc3c.jpg"></a> <a href="http://s1040.photobucket.com/user/ktm313/media/IMAG0120_zps54037c2b.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1040.photobucket.com/albums/b407/ktm313/th_IMAG0120_zps54037c2b.jpg" border="0" alt="phone uploads photo IMAG0120_zps54037c2b.jpg"></a>

  14. You dont have huge amounts of water in Milford and i have not fished the Milford area, Here are some i know about but have NOT fished. They are in the Milford area, depending on what part of Milford. Badger pond , Lyndeboro. Dream lake , Amherst Honey pot , Amherst Lincoln pond , amherst Little Baboosic ,amherst melendy pond , brookline osgood pond , milford silver lake in hollis , but you need to be there before the crowds start to show up to enjoy the water. 5 - 9 am once the weather hot weather gets here.
  15. Still early this year but perhaps last year. Did anyone fish silver lake in Hollis? I will drag my canoe thru the parking lot , across the road, thru the trees and down the beach. I hope it is worth the effort. Has anyone dragged a canoe or Kayak down to the pond in Auburn, is it Tower Hill ? I know people fish from shore. Can i use waders there?
  16. After the Rage tail rigged weightless stopped working , i threw the popper into the Nashua river instead
  17. I have put in at the Launch area and gone left as far as i can as well as gone right as far as i can. mostly Pickerel left and pickerel and bass to the right. Under the bridge and into the real stump area. There are fish everywhere at stumpfield
  18. I am having to visit Vegas the last week of August, Will be staying at the RIO in Las Vegas. I would like to try to do some some bass fishing while i am there. I am from New Hampshire and have no idea on the area. Can anyone point me in a direction of places or people to talk to. Most likely i would have 1/2 to 3/4 of a day to spend on the water. SM , LM , other game fish or types of bass? Walleye ? Pike ? Because i only will have 1 day i am trying to do some research. I mainly fish for LM and SM here in NH. although this year my son and i want to catch a 20+ lb pike and a 8+ lb walleye. Neither of us have ever caught a Pike or a Walleye. Salmon? , Big Trout ? Any help is appreciated. Any Bass clubs close to this area? I am thinking possibly someone from a club would be willing to let me tag along for a day. I am just a regular 48 yr old guy wanting to fish an area i have never been and know nothing about. Thank You for any help. Are there fishing guides in the area?
