  1. waiting for my son to post , Tues night Merrimack river. weightless Rage Tale craw inching it across the bottom near some stick ups that are still green, green color craw.
  2. was that the Biggest Smallie in the tourney ?
  3. Yes, it works really well, it is set up so it is deeper than the trolling motor.
  4. I live in Nashua if you want to see it up close. easy on, easy off Has worked perfect for me. I twisted the shelf bracket in a vice 90 degrees. Not perfect looking but for me it is exactly what i wanted. Portable , simple , basic.
  5. From the places i have fished on a regular basis this year, The Nashua River ( a lot of area to fish and learn) , Pawtuckaway Lake (gets a lot of pressure and takes time to learn this place), Turtle pond in Concord. (Also gets a lot of people fishing it) Read thru the posts in the southern nh thread. Read all 90 or so pages. There is so much info there it is crazy.
  6. I will take some pics of my Humminbird set up in my canoe, and get my son to post them when he gets here in a bit. The wood going across the beam support is about 8 inch wide, The shelf bracket i used allows me to have it not move by using 2 bolts with wing nuts, if i take out the lower bolt it pivots up for storage , or when i dont know an area i use only 1 bolt which will allow it to move if i hit something, 1 bolt , also with wing nut attaches the base to the board, 3 minute set up from being completely removed , i use this set up on my canoe , jon boat and kayak. I use the smallest lawn tractor battery i could find to power it. and / or i use the deep cycle marine battery when i have the trolling motor. Some people say using a separate battery is better cutting down on interference from the trolling motor, but i have not seen a difference as of yet. I just saved up the $$ for the humminbird 598 , i have used this unit only 1 time, but i had my cheap craigslist eagle mounted here last week before the new humminbird came in. I originally used round electrical conduit , but i like the channel of the shelf rod better. The conduit tended to flatted out and move around a lot.
  7. ok , my son is going to help me. He said my pictures may be jeo tagged? So he can tell the time, date and place these pictures were taken. I do have fancy droid phone that they got me. Sorry for the confusion. He puts the pictures up onto the site for me, but I do know how to type. You will notice ,( if you can tell ), that almost all of the posts I have that have pictures have been edited. This is because I will type it in and my son will load the pictures later or even from his house. My apology's for the confusion. You guys are 100% correct that some of these pictures are double posted. I am not going to ask him to fix the Sept. post and add the missing picture, That post is 2 different pictures of the same fish. The first one I had the fish backwards on the measure. Mouth at zero is how it was said to be posted so I took another picture. With that being said, the only correct picture for October on the site at this time is the one that is about 19.5 inch's.
  8. Some Smallmouth bass but mostly Largemouth Bass and Pickerel
  9. You are correct, Dont jump to conclusions. We will get the other pic up when i am with the son or grandson tonight.
  10. I fish the Nashua river in Nashua a lot. Never in Mass. , for me , at night black jitterbug , weeds a white mouse - just shake it let sit -- shake lets sit, rage tail craw at all stick ups , logs , edges of weeds, etc.... anywhere you can find structure. and slow down , fish these craws slow slow slow, ',,,, i like weightless or almost weightless, but keel weighted works awesome also. look here also ... This is from Shane J , He posted it earlier, they have been awesome this year,, i like th dark colors in the Nashua river, However , pearl white has worked well also. I have not rigged this picture as of yet, but next time out for sure.

  13. wilton reservoir , wilton water supply, just dont walk in the water, canoe kayak is ok. just dont get wet. you can walk a lot of it. , google it. i cannot remember how to get there. The backside to the right is where i found the best fishing.
  14. I am in as long as that Maine guy is out. Just kidding. Lets see those big girls getting heavy for the cold months.
  15. I dont know Milford very well , But Melendy ? pond (be aware of where you park, please dont block driveways and access , and Lincoln Pond. Both offer some shore fishing. Wilton reservoir , Baboosic lake has some good area to fish from shore also, right at the public beach
  16. I have 2 more to add but we are having problems getting them out of my buddies i-phone. ( he is going to the mall for help) They wont email or download with the cable, but they are there. Most pics are taken with my phone i just pull out the memory card and put it in my computer. Still not even close to Mainebass ( NICE JOB) , if i can get them out it would cull the 17.5 and 18.5 with another 19.5 and 19 --- to get me to an estimated 96 - 97 (I am not gonna argue 1/2 and 1/4 inches) not the 100 i was hoping for but it will have to do, although there is tonight !!! Maybe Liam picked up a few big ones yesterday ? and has not posted yet. October is here in less than 8 hours. ... 100 inches in Oct ? They are filling up for winter. Lot of water still in the mid 60 degree temps. Pine Island in Manchester was still 66 on Sunday morning in some parts. For you guys that put away your big boats , or anyone else My 12 ft jon boat on a trailer with 2.7 hp gas motor , 50 lb thrust electric troller, basic eagle depth/temp finder , anchor , fire extinguisher , whistle, oar and battery is parked in Nashua, it is still for sale but is ready available if someone wants to borrow it. You would need life vests , cushion. 19. Dont stop fishing , the bass are feeding well right now. Top water was awesome tonight , 2 right at the 20 inch mark and 8 others between 16 and 17 mark. Go for the trifecta--- Shoot Turkey i the morning , a deer in the afternoon , and some early evening fishing. Make it a challenge and shoot the turkey and deer with a bow. In either case no need to stop fishing. I will use my canoe and kayak right up until the ice wont let me , Last year the Merrimack river was open almost all winter, its challenging but they still need to eat. Most guys put their big boats away , if you are one of those and want to borrow my jon boat, trolling motor and trailer or you can throw it in a pick up truck, just send me a message. i live in Nashua.
