  1. The are plenty of fish in the NHTI Pond. Turtle pond , Crooked pond - Loudon Merrimack river at the NHTI Launch -- go straight out into the slow water and fish all that area across from the launch and straight back around the corner. They are there. Pinnacle pond if you can find access. Horseshoe Pond has some These are some. The river has some really good fishing up at exit 17 also. there are 2 set backs around the big bridge. Both have railroad bridges at the entrance to the big river. Fish those 2 areas. current can be fast if you get into the open river at times. I find it easy to fish both these areas in the set backs where the rivers come in. I should mention the river has a lot of Smallmouth Bass and Big Pickerel.
  2. just confirmed Mt Williams pond Sunday early ,,, canoes and kayaks, time to do some internet research on the pond.
  3. Thank You. perfect info. Was just hoping i did not hear. dont waste your time from 3 different people. Will be there Sunday about 4:30 am till 9am. then its family stuff.
  4. Better to be lucky than good... Onto July. I am in. Who is going to find those big girls starting to head to some deeper cooler water. Night fishing should be prime time exciting. Some small pond waters down here are already +75 degrees. Should be some real prime fishing upper NH , VT and ME. Especially those smaller waters as they get close to 70.
  5. Anyone have any insight or info on Bass Fishing Mt Williams pond in Weare NH ? Going Sunday with a buddy , never been , going to be in the area. 2 canoes with trolling motors and 1 kayak.
  6. just sitting here waiting to get passed. wont be on the water i do not think
  7. not sure of i am going to get to fish again till July. I am not so comfortable knowing Maine is going to be fishing. You are only a couple inches behind me.
  8. From page a-56 of the Clarkes NH Fishing Guide. I dont know the area but this should help. 5.3 miles east on 101 from Jaffery road intersect in Marlborough turn right into roadside parking area next to pond. canoe or cartop possibly a small trailer boat with caution. says good parking and turn around. fish include more lm than sm also american eel, crappie , hornpout , sunfish , yellow perch. lots of crayfish and golden shiners for the bass to eat. average depth 6 feet 258 acres in size
  9. Some guys / books talk about the 1 am bite being the best there is. full moon time seems to be the best for me too. I usually get my night fishing till about 10:30 pm. I am up at 4 - 4:30 am rare for me to be out after 10pm. I do try to do a late night midnight to 2 am at least one Sat night.
  10. Just a bunch of big ones of this type this morning. 22 - 25 inch
  11. Tinker road in Nashua / Merrimack is all public water supply. No boats , Kayaks , waders , etc... fishing only from the road areas with no water contact. For the last 40+ years i have fished it. In the last few years they have really cracked down and only allow fishing from the road areas. No more walking in the woods thru the trails etc... We (my now 15 yr old son) walked a bunch of the area to fish it in the past but were told by fish and game the area is now off limits to being in the woods. We were told fishing from the road is area is fine. They dont want anyone in the woods anymore. There are many many many new no tresspassing signs.
  12. nice job Maine. Yes night fishing can be fantastic. Even better in a boat. especially now that a lot of water is at the 70 degree area. I hope to get out this weekend for some night time fun. My first go to for night is a 4 inch broken tail rattling jitterbug, i changed out the rear hook for a bigger one. I also turned them out just a tad for a better hook-up rate. Buzzbaits next always with a trailer hook. Then spinner baits with double or triple colorado blades for lots of noise usually in black or dark blue. also big knocking zara spook or heddon crazy crawler
  13. Franklin Pierce Lake, 1st timer.. Any one have any pointers. ? I am going to head there for the first time tomorrow morning. I have never even seen it. I have hopes of catching a Pike , as well as some Bass. I only have my 16 ft canoe with trolling motor. Any pointers or areas i must try? Any info is helpful. Thank You.

  15. It is definitely not a fair and equal world thats for sure. As far as the Pennichuck i stick to only fishing the road areas now. I know the police just stopped someone from putting in a kayak in on tinker rd. -- good timing , bad timing to get caught just depends on what way you think about it. And they have tripled the # of no trespassing signs where Tinker has the bridge going over the highway. They dont want anyone in there anymore since 911 , but they have just started to enforce it the past year or so. According to Tom ? ( a fish and game officer who checked my license while i was there) Fishing from the road side if ok , they dont want anyone in the woods, no waders (i asked) and no watercraft of any kind. I did ask about Witches springs brook in Amherst bringing you into the 3rd? pennichuck pond. It is about a 20 minute paddle with the current to get to the pond , and a 20 minute paddle out the other end ending behind the church in nashua off of amherst st across the street from cvs pharmacy. He did not know about it. and basically said to have fun. Enough from me on this subject. I wish it was legal , like it is in manchester (massabassic) but it is not. Has anyone fished the 3rd? pond ? is that the correct name?
  16. Go get some big ones this weekend guys. 105 inchs has not been enough in the past. lets see the first 24 incher !!! Shane , Jitterbug , Nate
  17. anyone here fished Little Island Pond in Pelham ? I may have an opportunity to fish there.
  18. If you are putting in the Pennichuck public water supply it is illegal. I know people do it, but it is still illegal. I fish it from the road all the time. this is legal according to fish and game. I really wish i could legally put my kayak or canoe in there. Same with watching people. Nice job with the black jitterbug. those things work fantastic. some nights fast , some nights slow. Really like them on full moon nights
  19. Nope , not Pinnacle. I have been looking for access there also. It is after that and before the Liquor store. I actually parked next to the loaders that are parked there for working at the rest area.
  20. Found these 2 in the shade this morning. Fished a few different areas with craws and ring worms not a single bite. Fished some grass and weeds in full sun with same as well as weedless white and dark frog twitching. Threw on a chugger knocker spook and found these 2 about 14 feet of water and no lilly pads or weeds. Was casting with my back to the shore.
  21. Had about 1/2 hour to spare so i stopped at this little pond next to the liquor store where they are doing all the construction around the toll booth area between manchester headed to concord. Dragged the kayak down the dirt thru the trees and into the water. Only had about 1/2 hour. i found this tree , then found this tanker. did not get a good measure and did not weigh it.
  22. 11 fish this morning all 15 - 18 inchers , nothing bigger. Good numbers in the Nashua river lately , just no big ones. Todays choice Purple senko , and white weedless mouse on top of the lilly pads. Launched from Stellos and followed the shore on the same side all the way around the corner and past the boat docks. Stumps, trees and lilly pads
  23. Lets add this one. all the others were less than 18 inch. the word of the day is blue rage craw weightless. I used several things in the rain this morning till i finally got some bites. zero on anything till i went to Blue Bug Rage craw with sparkles weightless. a 1/2 dozen fish , this being the biggest one. They were hitting it before it hit bottom. About 12 feet deep. a good 20 feet past where the weeds ended.
  24. http://www.snagproof.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=80_83&product_id=64 ------ they have 2 sizes i use these a lot on top f the weeds and in the grass. I like the white and the pink. they have worked well for me. I use garlic spike it on the tail, i dunk the tail right in the bottle, and i dunk the head in smelly jelly. I believe the stuff gives a 1/2 second or 2 longer before they spit it out. Helps me with hook sets. It works really well in the grass. I twitch real real slow. works well especially when the water is only a foot or so deep. I will cast it right onto the shore and twitch it right into the water. Many strokes come with in 2 feet of shore. My thinking is if i dropped it in the water instead of the shore , i will spook more than get a reaction bite. I also throw it right into the brush, hang it in the brush and then drop it off the brush into the water. less commotion less disturbance in the water. I also take the hooks on many of them and bend them up just a bit with my needles nose pliers. -- i dont do all of them, sometimes i really need more weedless to stop with hangups, other times i want less weedless but easier hook set. they are very soft. and in the warm weather even softer. I have probably 1/2 dozen of them but mainly white and pink. You will catch turtles and snakes with them also. The 3 big turtles i have caught have all been on these, and 1 water snake at turtle pond in concord.
  25. this has been working well with the rage craw.
