  1. If I'm fishing a reaction type bait, and a fish is hitting and not buttoning up, then I would change presentation before color. If no strikes, and I know the fish are active then lure change. Slow dragging type baits, then I would change presentation then color.
  2. You drinking the Kool Aid on the 'boys already J? LOL
  3. Should be a good game tonight. Despte their record, KC has a good D, as the Tuna (Bill Parcells) would say: "They're no ham and egger." Go Pats!
  4. Looks good fly! I was gonna get an attachment for my kitchen aid way back when to get into sausage making, but decided against it, I may revisit that now. I've been on a seafood kick lately. Mussels Fra Diavolo on Sunday, oysters and steamers followed by baked haddock on Saturday.
  5. Maybe?
  6. They had the new Kid, Rusney Castillo playing centerfield. I'm telling you A-Jay, this kid's the deal. He hit a bomb and made a play out in the triangle that I never thought he was gonna catch up to. Ended up making it look routine.
  7. Thanks fly. My son and I went to Cooperstown earlier in the year and I bought a retro Sox hat from the mid 70's, red hat blue visor. My favorite player was Fred Lynn and my dad took me to my first game and we sat on the roof top seats directly behind where we sat. Between innings they had "Centerfield" playing on the sound system and all these high lights of Fred Lynn. So it was ironic that I had told him that story. At the end of the song, Fred Lynn was waving to the crowd in the press box. I'm like "son of a gun" my favorite childhood player is at the game tonight! LOL You can't make this stuff up. Anyway, thanks, it was a real special night for Dillon and I.
  8. My son had a great time at the game last night. The Sox won 11-1, which provided a lot of offense for the home team to keep his interest. The only down side to him was that Papi didn't play. Anyway we had great seats and a very comfortable night weather wise:
  9. #7 The eraser? Goes up my @$$ every time I get one of those... #20 The toilet slightly askew? You think they could have flushed prior to taking that pic?
  10. As long as water temps are in the 60's, I'll serve em up a topwater. Looking for a baitcaster, MassRob?
  11. I had a feeling that article was wrong...LOL
  12. I guess I don't understand your question, the link you provided states the following: "In the fourth quarter of the Redskins-Eagles game, after a Nick Foles interception defensive lineman Chris Baker laid him out with a brutal hit. Foles’ Eagles teammates rushed to his defense, Jason Peters in particular slapped Baker’s helmet that led to his ejection. Chris Baker was also ejected for his hit on Foles." Am I missing something. No fly, I didn't watch the Eagles game...LOL
  13. Thursday night will be my son's first experience at Fenway Park! Too bad the boys of summer are out of it, but you can be sure that he's very excited to see the Red Sox play! I pulled a project in early and the law school I was working in was able to get us some tics. The look on my son's face when I told him was priceless.
  14. 2014 is turning out to be the year to forget. My time with a rod in my hand can be counted on 2 hands and that didn't start until the dog days of summer. I can already sense that there will be no improvement with that respect. You can basically call me a hypocrite for even being on a site like this because of my lack of fishing time.
  15. WTG Tuckahoe!
  16. I'm pretty much the same as you Catch, except for 1 day: I was field testing a spinnerbait I made with a zonker (rabbit) strip to see how the zonker strip reacted in the water. I had nothing with me, just my rod and phone. It was 7 days after ice out so I wasn't expecting to catch anything. After a couple of casts I started to experiment with different retrieves and can came thru some of last year's weeds and felt a snag. I pump my rod tip light to dislodge the bait threw back in again, Same thing, pump my rod tip slightly but this time the bait wasn't freeing up. I yanked up and the bait wasn't moving, until I felt a vibration. It was a fish swimming away with my bait. I'm like oh boy, this is a nice one! I finally got her to shore and unbuttoned her. I had no scale, but I was able to take measurements: 23 1/4" x 20" girth. I can honestly say, that was one day I wasn't fishing for anything to bite let alone a PB.
  17. He's in the last year of a 6.5 mil contract, actually, I think it was only a 1 year contract.
  18. Gotcha. I think the thought process was that the Sox felt that they weren't gonna retain Lester, so they got Cespedes with 1 more year left on his contract, use Cespedes, a Cuban who would thrive in Miami, as trade bait to lure Stanton. Capese?
  19. One of the reasons they got Cespedes wasn't it? I'm not sure where I heard that tho.
  20. You know, it's such a tight rope when you have kids that young, and probably don't understand, but usually the school would step up and notify the parents about a problem like that. I wish you luck 5 Dollar. BTW, you used the word "apathetic" twice now, can you cut the crap on the $0.10 words, I can't stand looking them up, besides, we're just fishermen you know?!
  21. I agree. The bonus system is just that, a system where you produce to meet an exeed numbers but the quality usually lacks. Give a guy a fair wage and generally he'll take pride in his work and will produce. I say generally because there are a lot of guys out there that just don't earn what they make, it's never enough and there will never be pride in their work. That's just the way it is. Fortunatley, the labor pool is still abundant enough with qualified workers who care, management just has to have courage enough to let these bad apples go. Anyway, just mt 2 cents.
  22. Ain't that a kick in the ball bearings!
  23. I hope so. I hope he's the same hitter he was and not timid at the plate. A pitch like that can ruin a career. Tony C comes to mind.
  24. Not exactly the visual I was looking for this morning. Thanks Sam.
