Seriously beautiful fish @Jar11591. I'm jealous because that's one of the species I would love to catch as well. Our State used to stock them, but I'm almost positive they don't any more. I've read reports of angler's catching them here, but it's very rare. Congrats again. That's must have been quite a thrill to land that beauty!

How are you all doing? It's been a while and Little League season will be over next week. I'm hoping to get out and do some fishing on Sunday. I went maybe 2 times earlier in the spring and caught mostly stocked trout with a couple of snot rockets mixed in. Anyway, it was fun to wet a line. Good luck guys, always love reading about your outings.

Finally here! Hard to believe that 1 more series and the 2016 season is over. I have no dog in the hunt and look forward to seeing some old Sox players, managers and front office peeps in the WS. Should be a great series between these 2 great teams. Until next season, it was great talking baseball with you guys.

It looks like the stars are aligning for the Cubs. Kershaw isn't locating his fastball, slider isn't turning over and hanging in the zone and his curve ball isnt catching the plate. Gonna be a long night for dodger blue and a great one for the Cubbies I think.

Soooo, was skipping Kershaw last night a good move or not in hind sight???? What a tough decision? I like the thought of 'lets win now' vs 'lets push this to a game 7'? You win now and have 2 games to win 1. But.....Game 7, anything can happen. If I was coaching that team, it's win now and lets see where the chips fall. How about you? Love seeing some ex-Sox players and coaches participating: Indians: Tito, Brad Mills, Mike Napoli, Andrew Miller Cubs: Jon Lester, John Lackey, David Ross, coach Eric Hinske Dodgers: Dave Roberts (I know he wasn't with the Sox long, but he doesn't have to buy dinner in Boston ever again), Adrian Gonzalez (sorry not a fan of him) Indians sure do look tough, Tito is pressing all the right buttons and Miller has been lights out. Just need to steal 1 up in Toronto, I don't think you want to see the Jays get momentum. Pitching on both sides have been great. I think the Cubs are feeling lucky that they took game 1. I mean a pinch hit slam, are you kidding me!

I have to commend you for taking the time to bring the kids along and preserving the sport. Keep up the good work. I try at every opportunity to do that as well. This is the time of year where I would start breaking out the little cleos, jerkbaits and lipless cranks or maybe even a panther martin and go trick or treating. Before I went to St Pete, I was fishing a small jerk bait and was getting crappie, perch, bass and pics to hit. Not exactly all bass but fun none the less.

Oh, I agree, I was playing along with the pretentiousness of the thread. The Sox are young and this years experience will be a great thing for them no matter how far they get.

Man, Jon Lester is tough in the Post Season. Why can't the Sox get a guy like that?!?!...oh, wait a minute. Better leave the bottles corked for now, does 2007 ALCS ring a bell? Just joking with you. The Indians were certainly prepared the first 2 games and I do think your manager is out managing the Sox. Again, why can't the Sox get a manager like that?!?!
