  1. That's a lot of water! Stay safe.
  2. Nice size Rock Bass @Attila!
  3. I can't understand the Tigers, their line-up looks really good, is it lack of arms? Bullpen? It's pretty bad when sports radio talks more about that than the Celtic trading the 1st overall pick.
  4. Yeah, they put Panda on the DL for "inner ear infection". Pretty bad when you had a switch hitter and they pinch hit for him the other night, not to mention they put in a catcher at 3rd for "defensive" purposes late in the game. What a wasted free agent. I think Price will turn it around, I really do. He'll have Tommy John over the off-season and Rick P needs to get his sinker down in the zone. I think by the All Star break, he'll get that worked out. @Jar11591, you're gonna love Coors field! I loved my 2 summer trips to Colorado!
  5. I loved watching the AAA line-up last night @A-Jay. It's funny, I was at Pawtucket on Sunday and when Sam Travis and Devan Marrero came up to bat, my son said: "I thought they play for Boston?" We've been going to Pawtucket for years on Fathers day and basically saw the majority of the roster down there at one point - Xander, Betts, JBJ, Bennintendi, Wright, E-Rod, I'm sure more that aren't coming to mind. Really fun to watch the "kids" develop into MLB'ers.
  6. Chris Sale is unbelievable, what a gem he twirled last night.
  7. That'll get you going! Good luck!
  8. A couple of my little leaguers helping in the concession stand:
  9. My thoughts exactly.
  10. Bank fishing or boat?
  11. That's probably the best way to describe jigs...so true!
  12. OMG, Kelly's Roast Beef! Now you have my mouth watering, @A-Jay! @A-Jay, you were probably listening to The Stompers back then?
  13. Thank you. I'm assuming you spent many a day on Revere Beach growing up? I bought that home in Kennebunkport back in 2001. In 2004 I had to pick the house up and roll it to the driveway so I can put a foundation under it. It was sitting on railroad ties that were rotting out quickly. The structure was a 2 car garage with an apartment on top. After many years of sweat equity it's transformed into a nice little home with 3 bedrooms on the 1st floor and an open floor living area on top with a view of the beach.
  14. My summer backyard
  15. Nice Northern @A-Jay, a beauty for sure.
  16. I guess you did catch a mess of them...WTG!
  17. I'm surprised you didn't get larger bass, Maine usually produces some nice ones.
  18. I agree. My son is 12 and loves baseball. I was able to coach him for 8 years. Every fathers day he asks to go to the Pawtucket Red Sox game - AAA Team of the Boston Red Sox - and of course I'll go see a game with him. It never fails, we'll get home and he'd want to play catch in the back yard. Playing catch with dad at a little league age is basically how I grew to have fond memories of my dad. Keep doing what your doing @Joshua Beaver, for a young man, you have your priorities set in the right place.
  19. They certainly look like largemouth?
  20. That's really awesome not only to get a PB but to spend that time with your dad. My weekend was hectic with little league so I was only able to talk to my dad over the phone. This coming weekend I'll spend some time with him. Congrats @slonezp. Great way to spend time with dad.
  21. This is the first forum I ever joined in 2010. It was also the year I dedicated to learning to fish a jig. Jigfishn10
  22. Ok cool. I would love to see the pics. I'm guessing small mouth bass, but let's wait for the pics? Either way, it sounds like you had a good vacation and experienced some "firsts".
  23. Really, spotted bass in Maine? I'm not questioning you @Hog Basser sarcastically, being from Arkansas I'm sure you caught your fair share of spots. I just didn't know they existed that far North. If you're sure please let me know what lake you vacationed on, I would love to fish and land a spot. I've never caught one before.
