  1. Congrats! Your avatar says your PB is between 10-11 pounds, what was the weight of this lady?
  2. I'm inclined to say you can take this finals matchup to the bank . Hard to see it not happening. Tho I will probably be pulling for the Warriors again!
  3. Welcome aboard! 2 year olds are the best! I've got 4 boys, so plenty of experience. Yes, some of that age was terrible "Terrible Twos", but once they get past it, they get better. Until puberty hits.....
  4. WOW, beast of a musky! Congrats to her!

  6. Yes. It can be deadsticked and will work very well because it will undulate with the currents present.
  7. Indeed. Likely Cavs v Warriors showdown will be one for the ages.
  8. Welcome aboard! I started my sons out with live nightcrawlers, crickets, mealworms, grubs, etc. The joy of watching a kid go crazy when their bobber goes under is awesome. Live bait is best, IMO, in these circumstances given they'll almost always produce a fish. Don't overthink it. Keep it as simple as possible with kids. It'll be easier on you, too
  9. If you are blocking ads in your browser, that's why. Turn it off and it'll work properly.
  10. Welcome aboard, Tyler!
  11. Rude fishermen who encroach on my spot while I'm fishing it - and casting just off my kayak. That and wind. Wind can be friendly, except when it isn't. Then wind can make those who do not normally swear, swear like a sailor....
  12. Welcome aboard!
  13. Welcome aboard, Robbie!
  14. Welcome aboard!
  15. Those are nice, Dave. I don't do my own molds, but have toyed with the idea from time to time. But prefer these days to buy non-weedguard hooks and tie my own, including weighted wacky. But I like the idea you've used with tin. I find the wire guards work well but break before a nylon wire guard. Has that been your experience?
  16. Welcome aboard! Cool stuff. Nice to have a 3D printer handy.
  17. From their fishing page: https://www.wildlife.ca.gov/licensing/fishing "Allows a person to fish with two rods or lines in inland waters, except for waters in which only artificial lures or barbless hooks may be used." And I saw "reduced fee" for those 65 and older... Yeah, I know, I'm an east-coaster. Just trying to help a little Probably better from all the awesome California guys on the forum!
  18. I know some places only allow you to fish with a max of two poles. This is in effort to keep people from completely making a dock unfishable by having half a dozen poles in the water in all directions. Similarly, in a boat, some may troll with multiple poles, like for crappie fishing, but only two are allowed to be fished at a time. At least that is how I have understood it when it was explained to me here in VA (though there is no "two pole license" here). A quick Google yielded this from Washington State: The total cost for the two-pole endorsement is $14.80 ($6.00 for seniors) which includes a surcharge, and transaction and dealer fees. Anglers may buy an endorsement for a second fishing pole at an authorized license dealer or online at fishhunt.dfw.wa.gov. All fishing rules and regulations still apply. See the Fishing in Washington pamphlet. Anglers with a valid two-pole endorsement may use up to three hooks on each line.
  19. Welcome aboard!
  20. EXACTLY!! I shared specifics with a guy who later told me he had ZERO hits in an area I was killing. Using the bait I gave him, too. All in how ya fish it!
  21. Sharing is caring! LOL... Anyhow, locally I have had locations and techniques shared with me, and with those who were generous, I was equally generous with them. I will not share with every Tom, Dick, or Harry that is in a boat. There are knuckleheads out there and, at least for me, I let my gut tell me about who I am talking with. I'm sure others are the same, you get a sense of the person you're chatting with and whether they're "a good dude" or just trolling for info.
  22. Welcome aboard, Art!
  23. Welcome aboard, Benjamin!
  24. URL is ****'d out, which means the link is either not allowed, or the words in the link match words not allowed. Why does the site or product name I posted show up as "another site" or as ***? First it has nothing to do with competition. In most cases, it has something to do with the points above - site owners not abiding by the rules of the forum, or over-zealous pro-staffers spamming the forums. In some cases, however, the site owner specifically requested that we do not link to their site. If your post contains ***, then that means you may not discuss that brand here. Your post will likely be deleted, and you may get banned (see the next paragraph below).
  25. My condolences, sympathies, empathies.... Been there, done that. Have had too many giants taildance within reach of my net, or mere feet of my kayak only to spit the hook and laugh all the way back to the depths. And like @A-Jay said, at least you had a witness! Only twice have I had witnesses. The biggest that was almost in the net my youngest was holding out was easily over 8 pounds, possible much over, and not only did he witness it, but a fishing buddy did, too. So yeah. Painful, but there's always next time!
