  1. Welcome aboard, Luke! Good name. My eldest son carries it, too

  4. Good advice/questions above. I'll just welcome you to the forums where you'll learn and become a better fisherman! Do read the articles here and watch Glenn's videos, as well. Lots of good stuff there, and of course, among the savvy, smart (most of 'em, anyhow) peeps here .
  5. Hi Paul, welcome aboard!
  6. Welcome aboard, @Pikeman12! I don't do tournaments, but I wouldn't hesitate to enter one with my spinning setups. And I use 1000 size Stradics! I also use shorter rods, not so popular today as they used to be. So I'd start your search at 6'6". Have a read at this article. FLW pro that uses only spinning gear, he's won tournaments, and Angler of the Year, too. https://www.flwfishing.com/tips/2014-04-22-going-big-with-a-spinning-rod

  12. Welcome aboard! Go Bills! Can't assume every WNYer is a Bills fan... I knew too many Dolphins fans when I lived there.

  21. Welcome aboard! This site is THE best place to start learning about bass fishing! Read articles and watch Glenn's videos and learn up!
  22. I use 1/10 and 1/20 in local reservoirs. If I were fishing rivers I'd go on the heavier side to get the rig down. Experiment with the two. Look at it as that, an experiment and not blowing money . If you fish any other water, use the lighter rigs for that.
  23. Welcome aboard! Well, I guess I get bothered by wind that is just where I don't want it to be. That mostly. And I suppose fisherfolk who don't care that you're already fishing a spot that encroach on you because they saw you catch a dink which means there are TONS of monster bass there.... Did I just say that, or think that?
  24. Welcome aboard, Joseph!
