  1. 6'6" ML Carbonlite (black) Not using it a lot these days, but I use it for all manner of soft plastics (lighter side) like drop shot, wacky, thin wire TX rigs, and so forth. Loads up extremely well allowing me to cast very light baits.
  2. Wow! Fantastic! Major kudos to Glenn and Keri for putting this Resource of resources together for fisherfolk everywhere. I mean we've got people from all corners of the globe who love the sport that are part of the ongoing discussion. And thanks to all the moderators for dedicating time and resources to keep the flow civil and on point! I've learned a more than a lot here over the years! Thanks again!!

  10. Went out on Tuesday with one of my sons. Had a great time, plenty of bass. They often ask me to take them in weather like what we're experiencing here (SE VA) and I tell them it is just not smart to go out. Not enough areas to get into shade, etc... That said, I will probably go mountain biking! Plenty of water, and a cold stream to dip in at the end!! Oh yeah.

  17. Probably the best I've been using are Gamakatsu Split/Drop hooks - they're thin wire, penetrate extremely well. That's not to say the Hayabusa didn't do that, because they did. I just lost confidence after the breaks. And IIRC, the breaks happened at the first or second bend after the barb.... I also use Gammy Finesse Wide Gap, but they're a thicker wire than the Split/drop. Have yet to try Aaron Marten's new Gammy hook based on the Split/drop.
  18. Bought them from TW...they didn't work well for me, broke two of them. Either a bad batch, or design. I'm a finesse guy, so I'm not usually breaking hooks...
  19. They're the easiest ones to catch, too! They see the pretty senko dropping down and say "Oooh, guys, they're here to take me again!! I told you they are real!!" The rest of them shrug it off, roll their eyes and swim away, while Billy takes the bait.
  20. HD for tools, lumber, etc. So about 95% for me. HD, Lowe's literally across street from ea. other where I shop, no Menards. Lowe's for some stuff, store card gives 5% off... Bought a Kobalt miter saw and stand on sale there last month. So far very pleased with it. Milwaukee M12 tools for me. Best tools I've ever used. Have a 40v Ryobi weed whacker (about 3 years old now) that does the job on my ¾ acre lot, and a fairly new 40v Ryobi chainsaw that is also quite good for what I need it for. Same company that makes Ryobi also makes Milwaukee, and a few other brands. Ryobi can be bought thru Amazon, as well. Though I don't plan to buy any of their tools, except maybe the 18ga brad nailer at some point.
