  1. Russ didn't go this year, but he made a couple of posts/reviews in the tackle section w/pics.
  2. Man, some people have incredibly wild, vivid imaginations that - unfortunately - go to waste dreaming up stupid stuff like this. I mean, I don't believe everything I see/hear, but a "man-made" hurricane? That's gotta be the top of the insanity cake right there. Guys - enough of the bizzare, Ripley's Believe It Or Not myths, hoaxes, and conspiracy theories here. Seriously, it's an insult to our intelligence. That goes for the extreme "OMG! There's-a-bill-that's-gonna-take-away-our-rights!!!!!" garbage I see everyone once in awhile. None of that stuff ever makes it very far anyway, if at all. Chill out and go fishing folks. As much as I love to have you here, some of you are getting a little whacko on the rest of us. You need to get out more.
  3. Tangent airlines has officially departed. This thread is done.
  4. oh, sorry. There's no way for me to change that. Maybe in future versions...
  5. Elvis was in one of the suits, and Michael Jackson was.... well... where to do think "the moonwalk" came from? : Oh, OH... bigfoot was in another suit, and the Loch Ness Monster was shooting the video. Jeez guys, this is getting a bit ridiculous, now ain't it? Seriously, don't you have better things to concern yourself with besides idle gossip?
  6. Here's a start: http://www.bassresource.com/fishing_lures/bass_fishing.html
  7. It's not available yet. I am in direct contact with the company, and will post information as it becomes available.
  8. I'll tell Debbie you said that! No, wait.... this is blackmail material, heh heh.. :
  9. Gene and I had a chance to check out the entire line of Trokar hooks at ICAST, and I must say, these things are awesome. They're the sharpest hooks I've ever encountered. Simply put, I was a little nervous handling them - like you would a handful of loose razor blades. They're scary sharp. There's an "additional" keeper hook on the backside, created by material akin to shrink tubing. It's a little odd looking. It's designed to hold your plastic lures in place. It's an interesting concept. I'm curious how well it works. They look and feel pretty solid too, but only time will tell if they'll hold up to an angry 5-pound smallmouth!
  10. It's an industry trade show. Sorry, but the public is not allowed. It will be in Vegas next year.
  11. It's made by a company called Alpha Tackles in Italy(http://www.alphatackles.eu/frame.html). The rod line is called "Jacko". It was comfortable and lightweight. Seemed really sensitive. They claim it's made with "Japaneese Engineering". No MSRP was listed.
  12. Yes, we spoke to them at length at ICAST. Pretty cool device. You'll find pictures I took here: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1247941593
  13. Great synopsis Bobby! You would think the show would have been less intense and quiet due to the economy, but that certainly wasn't the case! It's the busiest we've ever been. Everytime we went by your booth it was brimming with people and a lot of activity. It was easy to pocket a few baits while everyone was distracted. Dinner was the best mistake ever made. ;D Had a great time, and was delighted to have been in the company of such great people. Carrothead - there's very few handouts and selling is not allowed. Glenn P.S. Thanks for the prop Bobby!
  14. Check out this video of highlights from the 2009 ICAST show in Orlando Florida! http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/ICAST-09.html Enjoy!
  15. Bottom line - stop worrying about it. Every single popular location has tournaments on it. Kentucky lake was no exception, as a major tournament was held just before and after our event. Same with the year before. We announce this event WELL in advance to give YOU an opportunity to save up and make travel arrangements - possibly with others to save expenses. That's as much as we can do. Hope to see you there! Glenn
  16. Sorry to say, but toss it. Use JJ's Magic instead.
  17. The new Lowrance technology is just that - NEW. It doesn't even compare to Humminbird. Lowrance upped the ante, and then some.
  18. I almost forgot about the new SPRO King Daddy frog!
  19. Wow, I'm surprised at how confused people are about this. I guess it is a west coast thing, because I've heard it all my life. The Big Kahuna is the "big cheese", the "head honcho", the "one in charge", the "boss", etc. I guess in that respect, since I'm the owner of this site, that makes ME the "Big Kahuna"! LOL!! ;D
  20. It's only 50 boats spread across the whole lake. They're not going to decimate the fishery. I mean, they're good... but not THAT good! ;D
  21. Here's something that we thought was really interesting. It's a system that converts your hand-controlled trolling motor to a foot-controlled trolling motor. It's great for car-toppers. Pretty clever idea. It's called Pro Controll.
  22. We spotted Randy Howell sporting these spiffy shoes:
  23. Here's a new rod from Abu-Garcia that's still in prototype form. It won't be ready until 2012. There's not much we're allowed to say about it, but it's really awesome!
  24. Ok folks, here's some of the stuff we found and focused on, based on your suggestions: Here's the new Stradic And here's the new Shimano Core: Here's the new Sebile SOFT PLASTIC lure! Here's the new Steez rod This is new rod Abu-Garcia Vendetta rod: This is new rod called the Sledge Hammer: This is cool - rods with camo patterns called Camo Stix: Here's a sampling of new kayaks hitting the market: There's more to come! Enjoy!
