  1. If I caught somebody doing that to my property, I'd set them on fire. Simple as that.
  2. Please perform a search on the topic. You'll find plenty of info about it: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?action=search And also please read the FAQ's. Thanks!
  3. I see some rather bizarre comments here - at least to me. I have the killswitch lanyard attached to a D-ring on my life vest. Since I ALWAYS wear my vest, the lanyard is always attached. Seems odd to do it any other way, IMHO. Also, I learned a good safety tip from an Elite Pro this year at the Classic: Attach a killswitch lanyard to your passengers' vest too. That way, he can easily operate the boat, should you get thrown for some reason. Otherwise, he'll need to lean over and manually hold the switch down while trying to operate the boat. Make sense?
  4. Just goes to show how a good studio with special FX can make a mediocre "band" like Black Eyed Peas sound good: EG a "produced" band - lousy outside the studio.
  5. I think we can safely say that experiment was a disaster.
  6. 24-21 Titans

  12. I love the beginning of the NFL season. Everybody is so optimistic about their favorite team - some maybe too optimistic. But at 0-0, anything can happen. As for my favorite team, the Seahawks, there's a LOT of new variables with this year's team that makes it hard to predict anything. An entirely new coaching staff, a ton of new players, revamped offense and defense....all untested except in the pre-season. And even though they were 4-0, I know that doesn't mean much. That said, on paper they should be one of the first teams to clinch their division. But their performance in the playoffs depends on who is healthy at the end of the season. Should be an interesting ride.
  13. NFL guys, NFL.
  14. Do not give up on bass too early this fall. Some of the best bass fishing of the year is still to come. Shallow cranks, spinner baits and traps should be part of your Late Season Bass Tactics. http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/fall-bass-tactics.html
  15. It's refreshingly less like the sweltering summer of August. But for bass fishermen, September sometimes lands us smack in the middle of a month of confusion. Let Kevin VanDam guide you through it. http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/Kevin-VanDam-Fall-Fishing.html
  16. That's a real dark fish. Congrats!
  17. Spinnerbaits! Woo Hoo!!
  18. Sounds like fun!
  19. On average, I fish 2 weekends a month....AT MOST. Obviously not as much as I'd like to, but obligations beckon. That said, there was a time in my life where I fished EVERY weekend, without fail, for a few years. Looking back on that time, it helped me tremendously with my fishing, but hurt me tremendously as well. It took too much time away from my friends, family, and other "stuff". There IS such a thing as "too much of a good thing is too much". That said, I, too, faced the same issues as you. Don't let them bring you down. Just because they "don't get it", doesn't mean you shouldn't pursue what you enjoy most. Case in point - Had I listened to "them", this site wouldn't have come into existence.
  20. Yeah, I'm not worried if Branch is traded. They have plenty of talent at WR. On defense, they cut safety Russel and signed Lawyer Milloy - a definite upgrade, if only for one year. They put Trufant on IR, so that's gonna hurt. So I'd say it's a wash overall, until Trufant comes back. Then, watch out! Other than that, the Hawks defense is MUCH better than last year. The pass rush is greatly improved, thus making up for the lack of talent in the backfield. And they have extensive depth and talent at LB this year. The 'Hawks need some help on the O line, however. That's where I see a trade or pic helping.
  21. For anyone following the roster cuts, which do you think is the most egregious bonehead move by any organization? I'll start with the Raiders cutting Garcia. They cut a seasoned veteran with a proven record so they could keep....Frye. DOH! Rumor has it he wanted a starting job and Al didn't agree - so he cut him. IMHO opinion, Al needs to leave the NFL. Everything he's touched in the past 2 decades has turned into dirt. I'm not a Raiders fan at all, but....man. I feel for anyone who is.
  22. Sounds like a fun trip. Mmmmmm...walleye!
  23. If you want somebody to pay you to go fishing, work on a charter boat or be a guide. If you think that if you win a bunch of tournaments, sponsors will be banging on your door, you're setting yourself up for some major disappointment. If you REALLY want to "go pro" and be "sponsored", then let go of everything you "think" you know about sponsorships and read these articles. Want Sponsors? 24. Champion boats aren't going anywhere. Their parent company, Genmar, filed for Bankruptcy, but doesn't mean they're closing - just re-orging. A smart move in this economy. As for Bass Cat - I've been in both of Iaconelli's Bass Cat boats and I have to tell you, his current one is head and shoulders above his old one. I don't recall what the models were, but the difference was night and day. I don't know if that's good or bad, really. I mean, if you buy a Champion or Ranger, you'll get the same quality ride and craftmanship regardless of model. Not sure if I'd want to purchase from a company that can't carry its quality and engineering across all models. Just a thought.
