  3. Wayne - what... is that creature hiding beneath your glass table in the picture??! An albino deer? And is that a skunk on top of the table??
  4. In all honesty, it was indeed very good!
  5. I put my hat on the throttle. You know, that hole in the back of the hat? Slides right over the throttle. It's out of the wind and holds the hat there just fine. However, my passenger has lost a hat or two, so now I carry a spare with me all the time. Even if you get the hat back, it's soaking wet, so the spare is a welcome sight.
  6. 5. To learn something new 6. To eat some outstanding food - like chicken. : 7. To have fun! Um...that's all I got.
  7. I fixed the link.
  8. Not ever going to happen here. It's been tried on other forums, and turned into a huge mess - basically a complaint/dispute forum with the mods trying to mediate. In addition, they've become mud-slinging fests. Just bad all around. Since you've been a member here a long time, you know I'd much rather focus on the positive things in life than the negative. Life's too short to dwell on the negative things. That's why we have a thread that highlights the good folks to deal with in the Flea Market, rather than the bad.
  9. Problem is, there seems to be a number of people lately who want to inject politics into every topic, and this one is a ripe target. The other problem, and it's just me personally, is people spending time, money, and effort trying to "solve" a "problem" that never existed. This leads to people freaking out and worrying about a "problem" or "threat" that they believe to be real. Sorry if it seems like a rant. I just think people need to focus on actual problems. Fancy that!
  10. 25,000 is definitely a milestone! I can't tell you folks enough how great it is to see so many people here teaching others, asking questions, and gaining new friends! It's be a great ride over the past dozen years. Here's to many more!!
  11. It's an effort based on the paranoia that one day, big companies might one day force users to use one web service over another. For example: Hypothetically, some day far off into the future, users of MSN's internet service will only be able to search with MSN Search instead of Google, while users of Comcast can only use Yahoo and not MSN. Users might have to pay more money for what they get now for free. That's the fear. It's not reality. This "problem" doesn't exit. Free market is reality. Anyway, Net Neutrality would pretty much guarantee that this scenario could never happen by placing laws, restrictions, etc. on ISPs preventing them from doing this, even though they're not doing it already. Sounds like a good idea on the surface, but a waste of time in reality. They're trying to solve a "problem" that doesn't exist. Instead, spinning their wheels on the "what ifs" and "maybe's" I've seen bass clubs drive themselves into the ground by creating tournament rules for situations that have never happened. They spend too much time wasting their efforts guarding against paranoia, rather than tending to the needs of the club members. This is why Net Neutrality has gone nowhere in 7 years. It would be a lot of effort to solve nothing. There are bigger things to worry about in life. Moving on....
  12. It's a bunch of bahooey that will NEVER make it to fruition. Common sense dictates that. It's not even worth talking about here. I say go spend your time worrying about something else, like the bird flu, West Nile virus, swine flu, or whatever the media wants to beat into the ground at this moment.
  13. Better be careful in what you post RW, or you'll be accused of promoting Gamakatsu! ;D ;D Oh wait, they're not a sponsor here, are they? So....then you're talking about a non-sponsor product? GADS!!! Then maybe....maybe you're being, umm..... honest! Funny how that works. All joking aside. I've been using Gammys for, wow, nearly 2 decades now without any major issues. Yes, the lighter diamer hooks eventually bend out over time, but every light-wire hook I know about does. Well, there I do again with my .02. Apologies if anyone thinks I'm doing it for $$. :
  14. Just an fyi - the moderators are not here to promote sponsors, nor are they asked to promote sponsors. They try out sponsor's products and form their own opinions about them, just as anyone else would. Their comments about products are candid and unsolicited, just like everyone else here. The mods are here to maintain order, and to promote discussions. Yes, I have tried the Evolution jigs and like them alot. I haven't had any hook issues, but then again, I don't fish with braid much. I have had some issues with them getting hung up, but that's completely dependant on the type of bottom/cover you're fishing. Some lakes are impossible to fish whereas others are no problem. So I suggest trying them yourself and see if they fit your fishing style and lakes. Thanks! Glenn
  15. I deleted it, as it's too political. Every time this is posted here, it will be deleted. G'night Irene.
  16. If the water is still rising or holding steady, get in as shallow as you most possibly can. Those bass will be right up in the newly flooded areas almost as quickly as it rises. Excellent time to flip and pitch, plus run shallow running baits like spinnerbaits and Rat-L-Traps. If the water is receding, then pull off the bank to the next available cover or breakline and work those thoroughly. Enjoy!
  17. Zorn is an awesome QB coach, but he wanted to be head coach in Seattle. The 'Hawks knew he wasn't qualified for the job, so he went in search for team that would take a chance with him. Sorry he ended up with the Skins.
  18. I'm happily married and have never once been interested in Taylor. I don't find her attractive and hate her singing. Besides, she can't fish. So the answer is easy.

    UPEDATE

That's great Kelley! Glad to hear it!
  20. I think it goes back to high school and college days, when teams represented their schools. Rivalries are "us" vs. "them"; ergo the term "we". In pro sports, it's cities they're representing instead of schools. Funny car drivers, on the other hand, do not represent schools, towns, or cities. There are hometown favorites, but that's not the same thing. Hope that helps!
