  1. Those crankin sticks run a little stuff for my liking. It would be a good "single hook" reaction bait Rod: spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, swim jigs maybe.
  2. I personally think that Abu has too many lines of rods.
  3. Whoa...... that cant be cheap. I had a feeling that that is the direction electronics are moving. Only a matter of time before it was 3D.
  4. I think it's a great idea for the price. However, I would have a few concerns: -size of my iPhone screen: it's small, may not be good for seeing detail. iPad would be better. -battery life of my iPhone wouldn't last too long. Maybe if I had a backup battery or a Goal Zero solar charger, it's be different. What do you all think?
  5. Suspending Jerkbait, jig, lipless crank, balsa cranks.
  6. I agree with both of you. The Apex line is very good for each price point. I'm very happy with my purchases.
  7. Our tourny director said that they won't give our club a permit. Maybe he's blowing smoke?
  8. Anytime I hear someone say "this lake sucks" and something like "hike the shore", I get tingles inside! Lakes like that usually mean the offshore bite is dominant. Nockamixon is a great example. I catch my best largies between 15-35ft.
  9. Ardent is a real sleeper brand. The Apex line of reels is awesome for the money. People don't like them because they're made in China, but they perform, period. There are other great brands out there. Ardent is one of them.
  10. How are you getting a permit for a tournament?
  11. I have a few of them. Great reel for the money. Buy with confidence!
  12. I hear ya! I'm just looking for the opportunity!
  13. I have a hummingbird 798. I just traded the compact puck for the HD SI transducer. My question is: what do I need in order to create my own lake maps from scratch? I fish a lot of private lakes in PA that have no maps. Who can help? Thanks!
  14. I've been fishing clubs for a several years. I make no claim to be the greatest angler, but I can hold my own in competition. I asked the question because.... well, why not?
  15. Storm wiggle warts for $3.97! And some zoom chunks, gore-tex repair kit. I have $81 in gift cards.
  16. My PA club can't get a permit :-/
  17. Good Rod. I've owned some. No complaints.
  18. Looks awesome!
  19. Very true! When guys are fishing southern lakes and talk about school of shad and the shad spawn, I just roll my eyes. Sure, some lames up here have shad. Some might have alewives, some have smelt. But for the typical angler up north, we can't relate.
  20. Well, Netbait makes a tiny paca craw. You could try a 3" chigger craw or even a chiggar chunk. Missle baits has a drop craw which is 2.75", or thereabouts. I'd rig it on a jighead, or shakey head. Perhaps on a slit shot rig with a #1 gammy offset pen hook. You're basically talking about super light tactics.
  21. Can't beat a Duckett for the money! The new Terex rods are awesome at $150!
  22. That's what I'd bet. Realis for the title sponsorship. And I'd make a secondary bet that Shimano/Loomis pick him up too.
  23. It's beautiful!
  24. Wow, you guys are rough! Haha. If he's telling the truth; that means he's accomplished more than any of us! This topic, though old, is not outdated. Though they didn't get into a fistfight, it's not unlike the Poche/Monroe incident. It's about professionalism, and right from wrong. He's just stating his opinion. Though I find it tough to have an opinion on anything without being there first hand.
  25. Tried googleing it, cant find my answer. Is the HB Helix compatible with the HDSI transducer (XHS 9 HDSI 180 T)?
