  1. It's pretty affordable at $14.99 for 150 yards. $27.99 for 300 yards @ Ardent Reels .com Compared to braid prices, this has a lot of promise. I've been reading more about it, and have highlighted the claims which will need to be tested: -Zero line twist -zero stretch -0% water absorbsion -ultra long casting distance -thinner diameter than braid I too am curious about the translucent, but it seems to be trying to replace braid. So I'll buy some and treat it like braid. Let's see how it holds up!
  2. I bought a River2Sea Bully Wa II a few months ago. I caught about 100 bass on it, and just ordered a dozen more. Best frog I've ever fished.
  3. Check out the Ardent Finesse 2000. I have two, they're awesome! $50 new.
  4. I found this video about Gliss on YouTube. This line is German made. It's got be good stuff!
  5. Ardent is selling Gliss on their new website: ardentreels.com I'm very curious about this line. Its thinner than braid, zero stretch. We'll see how it holds up...
  6. Bassmaster posted 200 pics of ICAST gear. Check it out!
  7. Sounds like you already lost. You're allowing the conditions to get in your head. Finding is mental, and you need to stay strong. If you're filing all the conditions under "negatives", my advice would be to stay home. If I were fishing, I'd look for in-flowing water, creeks, and newly flooded brush. I'd grab my squarebills, spinnerbaits, and the loudest jigs I own and beat up on newly flooded brush around inflows. Good luck!
  8. Personally, I don't have any experience with that particular battery. However, a 22 group is probably not going to last long. I'd get at least a 29, and a 31 would be better.
  9. After looking around, I think I've settled on a tracker grizzly 1648. In my budget and comes with a front deck, and it's welded. I'll have to put a back deck on it this winter. Should be a good project!
  10. I have an older dodge caravan and don't want the weight of a glass boat. Plus, some of the ramps I fish are shallow and I have to push the boat off the trailer. But thanks for the idea!
  11. I want at least a 50-52" beam
  12. I fish a lot of electric lakes and my 14' leaky riveted boat isn't getting it done anymore. I want to buy a 16-18' Jon boat with a trailer and deck the front and back. What brand of jons with trailers are most affordable?
  13. Big M makes some outstanding flat siders. Reach out to him.
  14. I love this stuff. ICAST 2015 is about six weeks away. What have you seen? What have you heard? What would you like to see? I'll go first..... known fact: shimano citica I, which ready launched. Enigma's icast reveal, which I think will be uneventful. Let's hear it!
  15. Always used fluoro, but for $$ sake, I use 15lb yo zuri hybrid.
  16. I bought some 12, 15, and 20lb for various applications. A little stiff above 15lb, but very good line for reaction techniques. I haven't flipped with it or used it for finesse techniques. I'll stick with braid and fluoro for that.
  17. I agree, go with the Heavy. Sounds like you're fishing heavy cover. Don't bring a knife to a gun fight.
  18. I figured I'd ask this for fun: what do the five biggest bass that you've ever weighed in during a tournament weigh, as if they were all part of the same bag. Mine would be about 27lbs. What about your five biggest bass ever? I'm around 30. I'd like to hear from everyone! I know that some folks that fish big bass factories will be higher, so let us know where you live. I'm in southeastern Pennsylvania.
  19. I fished a lake in the poconos today and SLAYED some bass on the frog.
  20. Hi all! I fish deep creek, green lane, and nock (to a lesser extent) pretty regularly. I don't have a boat yet, but am always looking for folks to fish with!
  21. Who makes the widest/most stable 18.5' boat?
  22. Justin Lucas drives a Phoenix. Are you sure it's not a Phoenix? Great deal, either way.
  23. Well, you could probably use it for Jerkbaits and topwaters, perhaps single hook reaction baits, like spinnerbaits and swim jigs. Small jigs, like the baby advantage from D&L.
  24. Pat, look up Anchor Marina, north east, md.
