  1. They are not "overpricing" it because they don't know the value, they are "overpricing" it to make more money.

  5. There is a way to translate with an iPhone but I don't know how.
  6. It's the Stradic CI4+ with a better color scheme and I believe slower gear ratios. I like my 1000S a lot although I have not used it in months. S stands for shallow spool. HG stands for High Gear. C would be compact body. Right click to translate. http://fishing.shimano.co.jp/product/reel/2816
  7. . Wayne, most Shimano's are built in Japan and some are built in Malaysa.
  8. Screw Lews! Get the Scorpion XT1000 or 1001 if you are left handed or the Aldebaran Mg7 while they are still available and you won't regret it.
  9. You beat me to it and I am surprised that no one mentioned JDM before you did. To the original poster, check out Japan Lure Shop. The Rareneium is the JDM equivalent to the USDM Stradic.
  10. Light power rods are really fun to fish with. If you can do what you want with a light powered rod, get the light power. My Major Craft MSX-Limited is the MLC67L BFS and it is rated down to 1/16oz and IMHO, that is a stretch. It should start at 1/8oz. You asked about how the JDM rods compare to USDM rods. If you are talking about power, the only light powered USDM rod that I have experience with is the Loomis CR721IMX and it feels much softer than any of my JDM light powered BFS rods. If you are talking about style and build quality, the JDM rods that I have win hands down. The style and build quality on my MSX Limited won't take a back seat to any other rod and I have heard the same about the build quality of the Volkey.
  11. I just got both today but from the short casts into my pool, it should be very fun. My hope is that the 50DC has no problems with the just under 3/16oz Megabass Baby Griffon and other smaller cranks and top water plugs. A 1/4 plug will be easy and will launch a mile and I just hope the smaller plugs do the same.
  12. Thank you Matt. Now I need to catch a fish so that it's Goose approved. LOL
  13. Thank you and congrats on your acquisition of the 50DC. This is actually my second one. I sold my first to Maico1 and I regretted it and bought another. Take my advice and use mono and always use easy to cast lures like cranks, top water, Super Flukes, jigs and T Rigs and you will love it. The mistake that I made with my first one was throwing less aerodynamic lures like blades jigs with 15# Big Game and the results were not good.
  14. Poison Glorious 166L Hardbait Finesse and a Conquest 50DC.

  16. Just trying to help you spend some of your hard earned cash. LOL
  17. In case you are curious, Bass JP, aka Proshop Otsuka, has a couple of used Shimano/Jackall BFS rods for sale. One is the PG 164L BFS64 Multirole and if my math is correct, with the rod, handling and shipping charge, it should be around $376 and change. The other rod is a Poison Ultima 162L-S. If my math is correct, it should be around $550 and change. They say the Multirole has some scratches and the Ultima is like new. http://www.bass.co.jp/index.php?m=feature&pageid=80&jan=J0101G4F00900&r=10 http://www.bass.co.jp/index.php?m=feature&pageid=80&jan=J0301G4F00236&r=10
  18. Is that the Avail ALD0915R spool? If so, I have one too and yeah, it doesn't hold much line. LOL
  19. If I had to pick a lure to fish with for the rest of my life, it would be a Zoom Fluke. Just use the search feature on this Site or use Google, there are all kinds of posts on this lure and the reason is because it produces and unless you have an exposed hook, it is just about immune to muck and it's easy to fish. They also come in 4 or 5 different sizes and tons of colors.
  20. 68camaro, if muck and other crap on the bottom is your enemy, then weightless soft plastics are your friend. It could be a Senko, craw, any style or size of worm, Zoom Flukes etc etc. You can rig the plastic Texas style without the weight, Wacky Rig, or something the Japanese have been doing is kinda Texas style except in the middle instead of nose hooked. Just go to YouTube and watch videos on fishing weightless soft plastics.
  21. Matt, I'll bet you are thinking of the time that I said if I buy another MS-X Limited, I will buy from Plat. I have only ordered rods through Pro Shop Otsuka, Shimreels and Samurai Tackle. My experience is that Plat is real fast in answering questions so just ask them.
  22. I have been practicing skipping lately in my pool and all I have to say is it is hard and I have a ways to go.
