I would rather have the Cold War back than what we are dealing with now. At least the Soviets understood what mutual destruction meant. The Islamofacists are suicidal and couldn't care less how many die in their quest for an Islamofacists world.
I think the only difference minus the pait job is the new Scorpion has 4 bearings in the handle and the Curado has 2. I am going to add 2 more bearings to my Curado handle eventually.
Japan Lure Shop has the XT1000 for under $150.00 right now. I just got a Curado 200HG and I am thrilled with it. I prefer it over the XT1000 for bottom contact baits because of the fast gear ratio and it palms great. It's not as small as my XT1000's but it still palms great for me.
The only aspect of their thinking that I haven't liked lately is them bringing JDM reels to the USDM and making the new Antares such a large reel. Other than that, what's wrong with their thinking.
You bought to soon but you don't need me to tell you that. Just out of curiosity, why did you pay so much for the Citica when the Curado can be bought cheaper all day everyday?
IIRC, I think that I posted a pic of my 1000S in a Thread that you started about the Stradic. I think my pic got you interested in the Rareneium and I would have felt terrible if you received a lemon. I am thrilled to read that you did not.
Why make the best Curado ever, IMHO, and then get rid of it in a year! There is absolutely no logic in that so there has to be something else going on here.
Can you reverse the handle on your spinning reel so that you reel it with your right hand (same as your baitcaster)? Try that and see if you are still feeling the strikes with your spinning reel. If not, you might want to buy a lefty retrieve baitcaster.
All one has to do to find out any info that they need is to use Google. If everyone did that, then we would not have a Forum to go to to ask repetitive questions and show off our latest purchase. Repetitive questions don't bother me cause if I am not interested, I don't click on it.
I rarely throw a Spinnerbait but if I do it will be on 6' to 6'6" MH/F rods and the reels will be 5.8:1 and the line is 15# Big Game on both combo's. Not because they are perfect but because they are what I have for the job.
Two in front and two in the back usually. The only spinning reel that I use is a 1000 size Shimano on an ultralight rod for Panfish so that may change with a bigger reel, bigger rod and bigger fish.
Someone started a Thread a while back about being underwhelmed with their NRX Dropshot or Shakeyhead rod. I don't remember which one it was but you might want to do some research. IIRC, Lucky Craft Man participated in the Thread and I believe that whatever rod it was, he also had it and was also underwhelmed.
