Is there anyone out there that makes a stabilizer for this motor? I'm looking for the attachment that goes on the bracket that keeps the head of the motor from bouncing in heavy waves.
Cave Man is right on this one. The other route is Lure Craft. They have some cheap silicone molds that are not too bad. Those two routes are the cheapest.
I do have some chunk trailer molds in silicone I'd like to sell. I'd sell them 2.00 each plus shipping. 2" and 3".
Last year Big O told me about this so I started using the rage craw like that. It works well. Many baits will fish that way and at times produce very well.
I wasnt fond of calhoun when I tried it a few years ago. I use MF now. I heard its changed. Anyway, on the colorant you need to order soft plastic colorant. Bear baits, caney creek, Lure craft all have good stuff. There are others out there that do too.
Big O also attends the the BR Road Trips when he can. Its a blast. He and a lot of other members were there the whole time I was at last years trip. Great people and a great time. Oh, and we fish too. LOL
Good to hear you met him!
Vinny brings up a valid point. It could be some in the set up. Most jigs work best with a 7' MH or heavier rod 12lb+ line. Bigger the jig bigger the equipment needed.
My favorite jig I build right now is the Big O Brush series. Its a big heavy duty jig that fishes like a light wire jig. The hook penetration on this thing is outstanding.
