  1. Now you are hooked! Congrats.
  2. That looks like a lot of fun!
  3. Really good. Once I get my pictures I'll be posting up a report. Sat was the best day. We fished about 12 hrs and ended up around 100 Bass Large and small mouth. Biggest was 5.5lbs Smallie. All on tubes and jerkbaits. Mostly tubes.
  4. Thanks Guys! I'll be around St Clair Shores.
  5. I'll catch you guys in a week. I'll be fishing for smallies mainly. I'll try and poke in time to time. I'll also try and bring back some good pictures and stories. Have fun catching fish and stay safe!
  6. Its running faster. Thanks Glenn! What does Warning Points mean?
  7. Nice fish, I hope I can catch some of those next week.
  8. How many do you need?
  9. I completely agree with you there! Fowlskies, now way. I chuckled.
  10. I got a kick out of that. But I actually do spear time to time. I dont know how many of you have speared before, but I've speared a few times in AR. Its popular on Bull Shoals. Mostly for walleyes. Its extremely challenging and takes a whole different skill set. I do know the regulations are extremely tight in AR. The amount you can keep is 1/2 of what you can with a rod and reel. Spearing and diving have taught me more about a lake and its fishery then I have learned staying on the surface. I have gained a lot of knowledge on fish, relation to structure, and how fish hold to that structure by watching it first hand. The ironic thing about this is I've never hit my max limit on spearing. If I kept all legal fish fishing I'd hit the max a whole lot faster.
  11. I have not found a state yet that allows spearing of Smallmouth, Largemouth, and KY's. I havent researched all states though. Arkansas has the most seasons for many species of fish but the above 3 are illegal to spear in all states I have researched.
  12. Thanks guys! Craw scent is what I use.
  13. A tube is one of my favorite baits to fish year round. So I went on a quest to find a action packed tube. This is what I chose after testing a few. This is an awesome tube! Some of you might have seen this before at the Road Trip at Guntersville! http://www.siebertoutdoors.com/index.php/cosmic-tube
  14. Congrats to you.
  15. What size are you looking for? I probably can make a Brush head that stands with a 4/0 Gamakatsu widegap hook in 3/8-1/2.
  16. Thanks! I hope you catch a bunch when your there also. I think I know the weed bed your talking about. Several years ago my buddy lost a monster musky in that area. I'll probably make a run to the firecracker too. Its not a "hotspot" but sometimes good for a good smallie or two.
  17. Thanks Sfritr, I try that ramp out. I'm ready to go. Just waiting on go time. I hope the fishing and weather are good.
  18. Very Nice Big M.
  19. Glenn, I emailed you a ton of pictures earlier.
  20. Thats what I'm looking for. Big momma smallies! I'm hoping for 50-60# days. Couple years ago that was a slow day for us. We will see what happens. I'm shopping for tubes right now since I only have about 3 dozen different kinds. LOL
  21. Thanks! I'm hoping that pattern holds and possible the fish move up a tad more. Which I think they will with Detroits weather forecast for the next 10 days. Any idea what the water temp was? Kens Marina huh? I've never been there but if I can find it I'll check it out. Thats about the same area I'm going to fish. I'll probably run down into the river a tad too if I want to for walleye but thats a completely different idea and depends on the smallies. What ramp do you use?
  22. Can you post up a picture of your mounting spot and also your location of your standard transducer?
  23. If its warm I have a pair of Lacrosse rubber boots. Cold I use a pair of Danner hunting boots that are gore tex. If its really warm I wear sandles.
