  1. I use a .308 win. I've done all the magnum stuff, I do not need it. Ammo is cheap and it knocks them down quick.
  2. WOW!!! That is unbelievable. Congrats.
  3. Very nice! Congrats.
  4. Ain't that the truth!
  5. Very nice!!!!!!!!
  6. Congrats on the PB.
  7. Very nice. Congrats.
  8. Very nice fish!
  9. Your on the St Clair river side are'nt you? That water over there is crystal clear.
  10. Thats no joke there. I think some think its something cool to run over. Sounds like a good time Scorcher. I've always wanted to dive it even though its shallow.
  11. Congrats to you.
  12. Do you have a picture?
  13. Its a heavy duty hook that is for sure. Its made for hauling fish out of the grass. I'll have some actual jig pictures soon. Thanks!
  14. I have just updated my site with two new heads. I have updated the football heads with Mustad Ultra Point hooks to all Flat Eyed hooks, approximate 55 strand skirt for a fuller body, and I have also up-sized the 1/2oz to a 5/0 hook instead of a 4/0 hook for better performance. Along with those changes the collar is deeper for better holding of a collar or wire tie. http://www.siebertou...p/football-jigs More specs Sizes 1/8-1oz have 1/8" weed guard. Hook Sizes 1/8-3/8 are 4/0, 1/2oz is 5/0 light wire 3/4 is 5/0 1oz 6/0 heavy wire The Grass Jig Head is a great fishing jig and can double as a swim jig. Hook sizes 3/8-1/2 is 5/0 and 3/4-1oz is 6/0 Mustad Ultra Point hook. http://www.siebertou...x.php/grass-jig As always I offer the head or a complete jig. All jig heads are powder coated and cured for an extremely durable finish. More pictures and updates to come.
  15. Awesome catch! Congrats.
  16. I would seriously doubt that they would. Skirt making supplies is more of a specialty item that the big shops usually dont have. I've never seen it in any of those. BPS one time years ago, but their material was horrible.
  17. That top one looks like a 1/4 maybe 3/8. Bottom I'd say is 3/8 going of standard hand size. Nope they dont look too bushy to me. Put a trailer on them and fish away.
  18. I have always wanted to try a split grip. Then I fished a Falcon. I liked it a lot but I do want to try the GLX and/or a Croix
  19. I only see crankin rods and flippin rods. If they make a bcr like that I'll sell you one.
  20. I was thinking BATF will pay him a visit. I dont think he has the FFL (I dont remember the classification level) license to build that type of stuff.
  21. do you tie those on a barbless head?
  22. Wow! Thats a nice fish. Congrats to you two.
  23. Honestly I doubt you would save a few bucks. When people ask me this question my reply is: If you want to make your own, buy the head and tie your own skirts. A mold is 30-40 dollars Lead pot is 40-90 Lead you have free but you have to clean it by melting it down and its nasty buring stuff with wheel weights. That will just get you a mold and pot. This doesn't include the lure parts plus all the other little tools and stuff you need. You can buy alot of jig heads for just the 150 bare bones cost of it.
