I've caught my pb on a deep diving crank this year. I have no choice, must try it out.
  2. Use credit card, pay it all off each month, get Cabela points and get fishing tackle,..... free
  3. I 've created a monster (two of em) my boys are in their early and mid twentys, fished their whole lifes and sincerly love the sport. In many ways they're much better fishermen than I. I might not leave them a lot of $$$$ when I die, but they can alway be thankful that their dad got them into fishing.
  4. Ya, I want to like it too, cast and transmit well, but I lost many fish last year due to brakage. I still use it and keep an eye out for the frays that seem to occure on the first ten feet of line. If I cut off the 10 feet of frays every few hours it seem to work.
  5. Oh, the good old south. We haven't seen temps above freezing most of the month here in Boise and near zero temps. at night. I wouldn't be bassin for a while.
  6. Ya, I was the guy in line in back of you. It wasn't that funny.
  7. So many snow geese now that they are actually destroying their nesting habitate on the tundra. They are not only feeding on the traditional vegatation, but because there large numbers they devour the root system of those plants for food, thus destroying their future source of food. New hunting laws in many states allow spring hunting of snow geese to try to help control their over population.
  8. 65# for topwater froggin
  9. I use straight braid for top water and in stained water conditions. I feel more comfortable & confident in clearer water using a leader, usually mono. Pitchin in thick junk or in cattails I use straight braid.
  10. Forgot: I do fish them both t-rig and wacky.
  11. The times I've used 7'' senkos they produce fewer but larger bass. That's my experience.
  12. One of the best mono for the $$$$$ IMO & in the opinion of some of the best fishermen I know personally.
  13. Use snaps and never had any problems
  14. Couple different ways, I use them on A-rigs, swim them on a weighted swimbait hook (rigged sideways sometimes) bluegill pattern works well.
  15. Pelican of course are fish eating machines
  16. 2500 balance better on my equiptment and I never need the extra line capacity of the 3000
  17. I fish a pond that has coots swimming on it much of the fishing season. My observation, no effect on fishing.
  18. Make it simple "Shimano"
  19. kvd 1.5 ,2.5 etc.
